What is Kamp Kenner?
Kamp Kenner is an annual summer overnight camp for high school students interested in discovering the health care field. Students will explore the different health professions, visit health institutions, learn how to prepare for college, gain hands-on experience and much more.

Who runs Kamp Kenner?
Kamp Kenner is hosted by the North Central Texas Area Health Education Center (AHEC) East. This center is hosted at the Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX.

Cost to attend kamp?
Camp is $300 per camper. This fee includes all overnight housing, meals, materials, scrubs, backpack, t-shirt, stethoscope, and transportation fees. Need-based scholarships are available. For more information, contact Dusty Fife email@example.com 940.898.2744.
Eligibility to apply?
All students currently enrolled in 10th-12th grade with an interest in the health field are encouraged to apply. Students who have completed our Student Starter for AHEC Pre-Health Professions Track will be considered first for camp acceptance. Registration and all forms, including teacher recommendation form, must be submitted by the April 8th deadline.
